How to recognize this tactic
A discovered attack fires when one piece steps aside and unmasks the piece behind it. Look for your own units that block a rook, bishop or queen: moving the front piece — ideally with a threat of its own — springs two attacks in one move.
General method: before you move, list the forcing candidates — every check, every capture, every direct threat — and calculate those first. The solution to a tactic is almost always among them.

遮りの受け。チェックに対して駒を間に挟みますが、受け身ではなくテンポを伴って挟みます。遮った駒が自ら脅威を作るのです。そのようなブロックは、防御を攻撃へと変えます。チェックをかけられたら、三つの応手すべてを比べましょう。取る、キングで逃げる、間に挟む。そして遮る手の中から、カウンターの脅威を伴うものを探すのです。過ちは、積極的なブロックが形勢を覆せた場面で、機械的にキングを逃がしてしまうことです。
