How to recognize this tactic
A fork is one piece attacking two targets at once. Look for a knight, pawn or queen move that lands where it hits the king (or a bigger piece) and a second undefended unit on the same turn — the opponent can save only one.
General method: before you move, list the forcing candidates — every check, every capture, every direct threat — and calculate those first. The solution to a tactic is almost always among them.

战术不会随着后的兑换而退休：捉双、牵制和双重攻击在残局里照样活跃。子力所剩无几，因此这里每一次战术损失几乎都直接定胜负。特征还是老几样：无保护的棋子、王与棋子同线、即将升变的兵。建议：即使在「纯技术」残局里，每步棋前也要搜一遍战术——自己的和对方的。
静着
既不将军也不吃子——但正是这步不起眼的棋决定了胜负。
静着：既不将军也不吃子，却恰恰是它决定胜负——制造无法招架的威胁，或夺走国王最后的格子。这是最难的一类着法：眼睛总在搜寻轰鸣的重击，赢棋的却是一次低调的挪动。线索：所有强制尝试都撞上防守——那就找那步单纯加强威胁或抢占格子的棋。训练自己发问：如果不吃不将，只是静静地加强，会怎样？
