How to recognize this tactic
A pin freezes a piece in front of a more valuable one behind it. Scan the ranks, files and diagonals your bishop, rook or queen controls: if an enemy piece cannot move without exposing its king or queen, it is pinned and can be piled on or bypassed.
General method: before you move, list the forcing candidates — every check, every capture, every direct threat — and calculate those first. The solution to a tactic is almost always among them.

被牵制的子逃不掉——再次攻击它，把它拿下。
被牵制的棋子无法逃跑——这意味着只要再攻击它一次，就能整个赢下它。数一数攻击者和防守者：如果进攻方更多，这个子就是你的了。最好的「第二攻击者」是兵：它比它能吃到的任何东西都便宜。别急着立刻吃——先加强压力，然后再收割。
后残局
开放棋盘上的皇后大战——精确高于一切。
后残局阴险难测：后无处不达，一个不准就把胜势变成长将和棋。主题特征：兵很少、王暴露、连环将军的味道飘在空中。提前把王藏好，并利用自己的将军带节奏地调后靠近、或推进通路兵。错误做法是只顾吃兵，把王丢给无穷无尽的将军。
炮台
两个子叠在同一条线上——前面的子以双倍威力出击。
炮台（battery）：两枚远程棋子叠在同一条线上——斜线上后在象后面，或直线上双车相叠。前面的棋子以双倍力量出击：对手吃掉它，立刻挨后面那枚的回击。当两子已同瞄一点、只差前子一击时，炮台就绪。提前在通向敌王的线路上架炮台：叠置本身常常自己孕育出组合。
